Job Description

 

Key Tasks and Activities –to lead on:

  1. Developing a data dashboard of early years setting/ school performance / capacity and its analysis
  2. Co-ordinating our strategy for raising outcomes for Early Years children in settings  / schools
  3. Identifying maintained school-based Nurseries and Reception classes requiring additional attention and county-wide improvement themes and programmes
  4. Implementing agreed strategy on monitoring, challenge, support and intervention
  5. Act as a Lead Practitioner in schools / settings, modelling policy and practice and coaching colleagues to transition into revised team roles where needed
  6. Promote strategies to raise outcomes for vulnerable pupils, and check their impact.
  7. Ensuring that robust quality assurance and appropriate levels of support and challenge are provided to all schools
  8. Developing an innovative and responsive programme of traded programmes, products and services
  9. Providing strategic leadership for EY but within broader quality improvement work across key stages and settings

 

  1. Working with WCC commissioners to ensure that work streams are targeted at improvement pupil outcomes and closing the attainment gap right across the EYFS

     

  2. Overseeing all EY eligibility and funding processes

High quality improvement strategy delivered across early years settings and schools in Worcestershire

LA education improvement targets and contractual KPIs in relation to Early Years are met

Revenue from traded work increases
