The Storesperson is responsible to the Stores Supervisor for the storage and tracking of specialized and non-specialized aviation parts required and utilized in the maintenance of aircraft operated by the company.


In this role, you will:


Assist as required with the day-to-day operations of Inventory Control and Warehousing activities in support of the Aviation sector. This includes, but is not limited to:


  • Perform the parts receiving and shipping process ensuring accurate information is entered relevant to each part
  • Assign parts to appropriate bins within the WinAir system and create new bins/locations as required
  • Assign batch numbers to received parts and materials
  • Ensure all parts received have the appropriate certification paperwork
  • Receive unserviceable parts and ensure they are handled appropriately as per the established process
  • Issue parts to maintenance personnel in accordance with assigned service tasks and as needed
  • Issue shop supplies and tools as needed to maintenance personnel
  • Update  and maintain the Repair Order list
  • Verify and accurately enter material and tooling expiry dates
  • Quarantine of parts as required in accordance with the established process
  • Participate in and assist the Stores Supervisor with annual inventory counts
  • Operate material handling equipment (MHE) such as fork lifts
  • Report any safety hazards or concerns noticed in the course of your duties through the SMS system
  • Maintain a clean and tidy Stores department and work area through general housekeeping, reorganizing of storage areas as needed and constructing or modifying storage racks as needed
  • Participate in all training needs as assigned including Human Factors, Ladder & Lifting, WHMIS, Transportation of Dangerous Goods and others as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

As our ideal candidate,


  • You have at least a high school diploma or equivalent (College or University diploma would be an asset)
  • You have two (2) to three (3) years of experience in a Warehouse/Inventory Management environment – preferably in an Aviation setting
  • You have great attention to detail
  • You have good knowledge and understand of batch numbering systems and processes
  • You have a good understand and experience working on the WinAir tracking system
  • You have experience in the following areas:
    • Methods and practices used to receive, store, issue, transport, and distribute material
    • Data entry
    • Warehousing, stock control, and inventory management
    • Control of Documentation
    • Workplace Hazardous Management Information Systems (WHMIS) (an asset – annual training is provided)
