About the role

Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit a Surveyor to join the team.

The role provides general practice surveying services on a varied portfolio for a variety of Clients, with particular emphasis on the Service Utility, Renewable Energy and Telecom sectors.  The role will also include supporting the team in other office locations.

This is a great opportunity to build experience in property surveying within the utilities sector.

You will undertake inspections of a variety of different property types across the area and measure in accordance with RICS guidelines and provide written inspection and valuation reports to go to clients, in accordance with relevant guidelines and legislation.

Undertake the marketing of properties, preparing full detailed sales particulars.  You will also conduct negotiations and agree Heads of Terms as well as preparing solicitor packs and see sites through to legal completion. Prepare regular spreadsheets suitable to go to clients and attend face to face client meetings and undertake Rent Reviews and Lease Renewals.

 

What do I need to do the role?

 

  • Experience operating as a property surveyor.
  • Experience of wayleaves and easements required.

 

Lastly, you’ll need to have previous relevant experience in a similar role.  You will be MRICS qualified or working towards professional qualification.  It would be ideal if you are educated to degree or diploma standard and RICS qualification.

 

 What else do I need to know?

  • Be prepared to work occasionally from Clients offices.
