About the role


Here at Babcock we are recruiting for a vehicle mechanic to be based in Warminster working on a range of military vehicles from bikes up tanks. This will include the inspection, servicing, repair and overhaul of the vehicles, assemblies, electrical and general equipment including diagnostic and inspection duties and carrying out examination tasks.


What do I need to do the role?


You will need...


  • To be educated to at least Level 3 in Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) / National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) as a minimum (Advanced Apprenticeship, Level 3 VRQ/NVQ)
  • A valid and appropriate UK driving licence


We would also like you to have...


  • Relevant working experience within the military or a commercial garage. Experience of working wity Heavy Goods Vehicles is desired.


Lastly you'll need...

• The ablility to develop effective relationships internally at a variety of levels
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Be able to work on own initiative to assist delivery of site objectives & targets in line with internal policy/process.
