About the role

 

Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit a number of Vehicle Mechanics based in Warminster. It is a large industrial site and you will work across a variety of Military Vehicles from bikes up to tanks. You will carry out the inspection, servicing, repair and overhaul of vehicles, assemblies, electrical, small arms, armament and general equipment including diagnostic and inspection duties. You will be responsible for the manufacture of miscellaneous items and carrying out examination tasks to meet production needs subject to necessary training and proficiency.

 

Main tasks wills include;

  • Carry out work to the required standard and specification as detailed on the job card in accordance with the customer requirements, current regulations, local instructions, processes and technical publications.
  • Diagnostic, inspect and assess vehicles and associated mechanical / electrical equipment in line skills & competency.
  • Ensure all job transactions are accurately recorded and carried out in accordance with current ERP processes and that work completed and time taken to complete the job is submitted daily to the department / section Supervisor.
  • Creation of job cards and demanding of material where the relevant ERP (Baan) training has been completed.
  • Completion of vehicle and equipment documentation and test certificates / reports to current standards.

 

What do I need to do the role?

 

You will have experience in Vehicle Mechanics attained at least one of the following minimum academic qualifications:

  • City & Guilds Level 3 (in the relevant trade discipline)
  • NVQ Level 3 (in the relevant trade discipline)

 

IT Literate in MS Office and hold a Driving Licence.

- This role is working 37 hours over a 4.5 day week, and are happy to offer flexible working.
