The Functional Skills Tutor role is based within our Civil Training business area.

The role

The difference our new Functional Skills Tutor will make

As a Functional Skills Tutor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary.

 

Day to day, you’ll be delivering training to the Royal Armoured Corps (RAC) and taking responsibility for educating soldiers as they move through training, in order to complete their HM Forces Service Person Apprenticeship, with an emphasis on Maths level 3, English and ICT.

Essential experience
 

  • Experienced in Teaching Adults engaging in further education 
    •    Appropriate Teaching qualifications
    •    Level 5 Maths preferable
    •    Maths & English Grade C or above
    •    Functional Skills Level 3 – English / Maths & ICT
  • Must hold or have ability to obtain SC security clearance/ enhanced DBS security clearance with Adults and Children’s Barred Listed Checks
