The role
As a Production Supervisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll ensure efficient production of vehicles, including the supervision of manpower and allocation of work in an efficient and cost-effective way.
 
Day-to-day, you’ll complete development and training for direct reports, completion of timesheets and monitoring overtime, deal with disciplinaries, absenteeism and return to work forms, motivate staff to ensure optimal output, deliver weekly tool box talks and you’ll work alongside procurement and engineering teams to improve quality, efficiency and processes.
 

  • Manage a team of technicians, fitters and fabricator welders to ensure company targets are met
  • Management and supervision of health, safety and environment (HS&E) within their defined areas of responsibility
  • The accurate recording of Accident and Near Misses on the Synergi Life platform
  • Identification of hazards and risk assessment development or review
  • Effective supervision of employees to ensure that the Health and Safety Legislative and Company Health standards are maintained at all times

 

This role is full time, 40 hours per week and is based on site at Walsall. You will typically work 7:00am – 4:00pm Monday – Thursday and 7:00am – 1:00pm on Friday.

 

Essential experience of the Production Supervisor:

  • Experience working in an production line environment 
  • Experience of leading groups of people
  • Proven experience in a management role within a fast paced automotive or production environment

 
Qualifications for the Production Supervisor:

  • NVQ level 2 (or proven automotive or engineering experience)
