About the role

Here at Babcock International , the UK’s leading engineering support service organisation and a key partner to the Emergency Services we’re looking to recruit a Mechanic to be based in our Walsall site.

You’ll undertake the mechanical service, maintenance and repair of all vehicle types and equipment and carry out class 1,2,4,5,7 MOTs.


Duties & responsibilities:

• Fitting and rectification of mechanical components.
• Carry out safety inspections / serviceability checks of vehicles including road test.
• Test and identification of defects using diagnostic equipment
• Removal and installation of vehicle interior and exterior trim.
• Complete documentation on work carried out including job sheets, service sheets


What do I need to do the role?

You’ll need extensive automotive mechanical experience (Min NVQ Level 2), if you are also an MOT Tester up to class 7 this is desired.


What else do I need to know?
• The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
