In this role, you will:

 

  • Support all aspects of Scope Management for projects, including:
    • Collecting requirements of the contract
    • Conducting scope definition and validation
    • Controlling the scope
    • Gaining customer acceptance of deliverables
  • Support project manager by facilitating commercial and technical reviews to present to customers for acceptance – this may occur through impromptu discussions or formal Change Control Board reviews
  • Investigate and facilitate the collection of background project information
  • Monitor contracts to enable project closeout and invoicing
  • Track and report on performance to provide weekly and monthly reporting metrics for delivery to the customer
  • Review and update existing control processes to maximize team productivity and minimize turnaround times and delays
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

As our ideal candidate,

 

  • You have a Bachelor's degree, college diploma, or certificate in Business management, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or a related field
  • You have one (1) to three (3) years of experience, however new graduate applications would be considered; work experience in a project environment would be considered an asset
  • You have advanced computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel and strong spreadsheet modelling
  • You have excellent multitasking, prioritizing skills and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • You have demonstrated attention-to-detail and excellent record keeping skills
  • You have demonstrated good judgment and a high level of confidentiality
  • You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to draw cooperation from others including but not limited to Senior Managers, Customers, Sub-Contractors, and other Babcock Canada personnel
  • Work experience dealing in contracts or commercial aspects is an asset
  • SharePoint and InfoPath experience is an asset
  • You have a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation (or are working towards it) (an asset)
  • Experience working with the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND) and/or Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) is an asset
  • You are eligible for  Canadian Secret Security, ITAR and Controlled Goods Clearances
