In this role, you will:


  • Ensure our management system programs operate effectively and maintain adequate surveillance of these activities. 
  • Ensure quality control and efficiency measures to support Waterfront Engineering, Production, Commissioning, Project Management, Business Controls, Material Warehousing, Waterfront subcontractors, and customers. 
  • Exercise management and coordination of Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) performed by subcontractors and employees or partners. 
  • Oversee the implementation of an increased internal capability to perform NDE up to a defined level, including implementation of the requisite quality system and attainment of associated certifications and registrations. 
  • Oversee Submarine Material Certification (MatCert) and support to technical and operational licensing. 
  • Drive continuous improvement actions to achieve schedule adherence of complex projects. 
  • Support continued registration under Quality ISO 9001:2015, Environmental ISO 14001:2015, Health and Safety OHSAS 18001:2007, and other registrations and certifications as applicable. 
  • Assist with oversight, maintenance, and improvement of the company’s management systems. 
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, and other safety-related concerns and complaints. 
  • Challenge and improve the specification of the company’s key performance indicators and assist in monitoring and acting on these indicators on an ongoing basis.  


As our ideal candidate:


  • You have a minimum 10 years experience in quality assurance management at an intermediate or senior level. 
  • Must be eligible for certification as a Quality Professional under the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA), American Society for Quality (ASQ), Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) AS9000, or equivalent within 6 months of start of employment. 
  • Possess a working knowledge of Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) techniques including Radiography, Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant and Visual Inspection. 
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work well on their own and in a team environment. 
  • Must have a strong ability to communicate orally and in writing to all levels of the company. 
  • Must have demonstrated effective leadership of large groups or organizations. 
  • Must be able to demonstrate well-developed analytical and problem solving skills. 
  • Must be proficient in data collection, analysis and presentation. 
  • Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint). 
  • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.
