In this role, you will:

 

  • Be responsible for the inspection of warehouse incoming material and associated quality assurance documentation
  • Inspect and identify incoming used HMC Submarine equipment
  • Investigate and resolve non-conformance issues
  • Assist in warehouse stock takings and audits
  • Conduct on-site inspections as required
  • Support Extended Docking Work Period (EDWP) material and Quality        Assurance (QA) personnel in resolving material issues
  • Other duties as assigned

 

As our ideal candidate,

 

  • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
  • You hold a Diploma from a post-secondary institute in a technical program or have the military equivalent
  • You have the ability to understand technical drawings
  • You are Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of BC (ASTTBC) certified (asset)
  • You are ASQ Certified Quality Technical or Certified Quality Inspector (asset)
  • You have a minimum of four years’ work experience in a technical trade
  • You have experience performing material quality assurance inspections (asset)
  • You have knowledge in Quality Control or Quality Assurance in manufacturing or in maintenance of mechanical, electronic, submarine or industrial equipment
  • You have knowledge in material management for major equipment and systems
  • You have knowledge of ISO 9000 and 18001 standards
