In this role, you will:

 

  • Provide assistant in technical direction and oversight of Babcock personnel performing welding visual inspections of ITP hold point quality inspections
  • Provide assistance in technical oversight of and direction to, Babcock personnel who have oversight of and direct fabricator welding and related quality control operations.
  • Support and provide direction to Babcock personnel creating welding and NDT specifications.
  • Be responsible for identification and creation of internal quality management processes and procedures related to welding and NDT specification.
  • Act as technical lead when assigned with subcontract service providers of welding process and testing engineering.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

 

 

As our ideal candidate:

 

  • You hold a Technologist, AScT or CET designation, or equivalent.
  • You have Level II minimum welding inspector certification (CSA W178.2 or AWS CWI).
  • You have a Welding Engineering Technologist Diploma or equivalent.
  • You have 6+ years’ relevant experience in welded marine and industrial construction and repair as Management, Inspection, Quality Control, Practical Engineering and Technology under regulatory / code compliance.
  • You have excellent written, verbal, electronic reporting and data communication skills.
  • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.
