In this role, you will:

 

  • Be responsible for the occupational Health & Safety of all direct reports under your supervision
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Extended Docking Work Period (EDWP) project; planning, organizing and motivating resources to achieve project goals by:
     
    • Leading the planning, execution, and close-out of all project activities
    • Leading and facilitating the definition of project scope and deliverables
    • Developing and implementing full scale project management plans
    • Assembling and coordinating the project teams
    • Managing project cost control
    • Planning and scheduling project key events and lifecycles
    • Tracking project performance using appropriate tools
       
  • Actively support the Project Management Team to develop and communicate strategies and plans, and set objectives across the organization to meet program goals
  • Ensure the project follows any quality assurance commitments
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to appropriate stakeholders
  • Coordinate stakeholders, service providers, and subcontractors to deliver on project commitments
  • Ensure that active risk and opportunity management is employed to reduce the impact on schedule and develop recovery plans when issues arise
  • Integrate the Production and Commissioning Teams, ensuring that handovers of systems maintain a seamless transition
  • Present reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
  • Perform project reviews, evaluations, and assessment of results
  • Develop and deliver the Project Team Improvement Roadmap in partnership with the Extended Docking Work Period Project Management Team
  • Develop and deliver performance improvement initiatives while driving other departments to deliver on their own initiatives in support of the project goals
  • Develop a comprehensive development and succession plan for the EDWP Project Team
  • Perform other duties as necessary

 

As our ideal candidate you:

 

  • Have Higher education in an Engineering or Project Management discipline or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Have a minimum of 10 years Project Management experience in major projects
  • Are a member of or are registered with an appropriate Professional body, such as the Project Management Institute (PMI)
  • Have experience in complex project environments, preferably within the marine industry
  • Have knowledge of:
    • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
    • Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes and systems
    • Planning, Scheduling, Earned Value
    • Risk
    • Project Management Controls
    • Are eligible for a Canadian NATO Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
