In this role, you will:

  • Be a supporting member of the PMO department which leads the Business/Project Controls, Commercial Controls and Financial Controls for all Waterfront Marine sector projects and programs. Duties may include the following:
  • Support with Cost Control including development, implementation, and maintenance of Project Baseline Budgets, Control Account Plans, Responsibility Assignment Matrices and Statements of Work (SOW)
  • Support Change Management processes and assurance of alignment with business/contractual requirements
  • Generate and circulate weekly and monthly performance reports, and associated analysis and narrative to inform management of progress, risks, and issues
  • Produce ad-hoc forecasts and revised budgets as requested
  • Identification of trends and developing mitigations to address baseline variances
  • Provide administrative support to project teams, including:
    • assisting in the management and reporting of project resources, risk, opportunities, and issues 
    • Scheduling and facilitating stakeholder meetings
    • Supporting project stakeholder management and communications
    • Managing and maintaining project documents as required
    • Producing reports and presentations for board reviews, progress meetings, etc. as required
    • Carry out document and records management (electronic and hard copy filing, archiving) ensuring compliance with Document Control processes
  • Collate data, develop reports, and track project performance to facilitate governance of Project performance
  • Develop a holistic view of operational and project performance (qualitative and quantitative) through data analysis and stakeholder engagement
  • Analyze complex operational and performance issues; generate insights and data driven solutions to optimize performance
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to demonstrate project/program health, and highlight challenges and opportunities
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to develop and enhance dashboards and reports to craft the narrative of overall project/program performance
  • Coordinate project collaboration including tracking and following up on timelines and deliverables, progress reports and action items
  • Perform other duties as reasonably assigned to support business needs

 

The ideal candidate brings:

 

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree, or college diploma in Business Management, Engineering, Accounting, or a related field
  • You have a minimum of four (4) years of relevant work experience
  • You have advanced skills in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
  • You have superior verbal and written communication skills
  • You thrive under pressure and your time management and prioritization skills are excellent
  • You work with precision and accuracy, demonstrate exceptional attention-to-detail and have excellent organizational and record keeping skills
  • You have a track record of identifying and implementing administrative solutions to increase efficiencies
  • You demonstrate good judgment and a high level of confidentiality
  • Experience working in a project based environment is an asset
  • Experience working with the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND) and/or Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) is an asset
  • Proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, meaning that you must have received the full series of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by the Government of Canada with the final dose at least 14 days prior to your start date
  • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
