In this role, you will:


  • Responsible for the occupational Health & Safety of all direct reports under my Supervision.
  • Assistance in technical direction and oversight of Babcock personnel performing welding visual inspections or ITP hold point quality inspections.
  • Assistance in technical oversight of and direction to, Babcock personnel who have oversight of and direct fabricator welding and related quality control operations.
  • Support and direction to Babcock personnel creating welding and NDT specifications.
  • Identification and creation of internal quality management processes and procedures related to welding and NDT specification.
  • Act as technical lead when assigned with subcontract service providers of welding process and testing engineering.


As our ideal candidate,


  • Eligibility for Technologist, AScT or CET designation.
  • Level II minimum welding inspector certification (CSA W178.2 or AWS CWI).
  • Provincial red seal or equivalent journeyperson welding qualification.
  • 10 years of experience in welded marine and industrial construction and repair as Management, Inspection, Quality Control, Practical Engineering and Technology under regulatory / code compliance.
  • Excellent written, verbal, electronic reporting and data communication skills.
