In this role, you will:

 

  • Provide administrative and records support to the Submarine Material Certification Section, working with a high volume of technically-based paperwork
  • Organize, prioritise, move and archive large quantities of hard copy and digitized records, identifying and rectifying gaps and overlaps, and ensuring a zero error rate.
  • Develop and update PowerPoint presentations in support of regular meetings
  • Manage the Material Certification section SharePoint site
  • Coordinate, track, liaise, and prepare status reports related to material certification
  • Communicate effectively with team members to support ongoing projects
  • Collate  and  extract  data  and  produce  routine  reports,  schedules and  letters  for  internal publication and for dissemination to customers and suppliers.
  • Prepare configuration controlled hard copy and electronic records for audit by internal and external (customer) audit teams.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

As our ideal candiate,

 

  • You have demonstrated competence with Microsoft SharePoint, Visio and Microsoft Office 2016 applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • You have a strong competence with Microsoft Excel including storing, processing, analysing and presenting data
  • Demonstrated competence with Adobe Acrobat or other pdf applications
  • You have the ability to learn new software applications
  • You are able to lift and move boxes of hard copy records of 5-25 lbs regularly
  • You have demonstrated the ability to work under minimal supervision
  • You are eligible for DND contractor access to DND sites
  • You have experience working in a technical environment
  • You have database management experience
  • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
