In this role, you will:

  • Support the In Service Project Manager in delivery of In Service platforms for the Royal Canadian Navy
  • Support Fleet Maintenance Facility Cape Breton, Department of National Defence and Ship’s Staff with planning and executing work on In Service platforms
  • Focus on project delivery, utilizing skills and experience to accelerate activities to meet or better the project cost and schedule targets
  • Assist the Planning team to schedule all In Service Support activities and manage them to meet key event dates
  • Develop, actively manage and mitigate all Risk to the project in consultation with the Risk Team
  • Develop and deliver all reporting activities
  • Resolving schedule conflicts to minimize impact to the overall project
  • Contribute to building strong relations with all stakeholders.
  • Develop In Service processes to streamline activities between Babcock and its customers.

 

The ideal candidate brings:

 

  • You have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a Project Management environment
  • You display a sound working knowledge of Project Management principles and understand what the requirements of the business are in order to successfully assist the In Service Support Project Manager
  • You possess an in date Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification with the Project Management Institute (PMI) or be actively working towards this and can achieve within one year of employment
  • You have a broad engineering background; submarine experience is useful, but not essential
  • Proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, meaning that you must have received the full series of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by the Government of Canada with the final dose at least 14 days prior to your start date
  • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
