In this role, you will:


Provide leadership and direction to the Extended Docking Work Period (EDWP) projects; planning, organizing and motivating resources to achieve project goals by:


  • Focusing on project delivery, utilizing the skills and experience to meet or better the commitments against project cost and schedule targets
  • Co-ordinating planning and close-out activities relating to the projects assigned
  • Developing project performance metrics in conjunction with the Business Management Team as required
  • Tracking project performance utilizing appropriate tools
  • Actively support the Project Management Team to develop and communicate strategies and plans and set objectives across the organization to meet broader program goals
  • Ensuring project quality assurance commitments are adhered to
  • Ensuring active risk and opportunity management is employed to reduce impact on project schedule and developing recovery plans when issues arise
  • Developing and presenting project progress reports
  • Supporting the Extended Docking Work Period (EDWP) Project Team in identifying and mitigating threats to project schedule
  • Supporting in delivery of  project team improvement roadmap
  • Act as a designate for the Project Manager
  • Perform other duties as necessary


As our ideal candidate, you:


  • Have a minimum of 5 years Project Management experience in major projects
  • Are a member of or are registered with an appropriate Professional body, such as the Project Management Institute (PMI)
  • Have experience in complex project environments, preferably within the marine industry
  • Have knowledge of:
    • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
    • Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes and systems
    • Planning, Scheduling, Earned Value
    • Risk
    • Project Management Controls
  • Are eligible for a Canadian NATO Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
