In this role, you will:

 

  • You will directly support a major shipyard taking functional and detail designs into production.
  • Work closely with ship designers, suppliers, sub-contractors and project team members to support of system/ship design and integration tasks.
  • Support engineering teams in maintaining accurate, and detailed bills of materials and linkages between component level data and ship design tools.
  • Undertake configuration management activities including planning, identification, change, audit and status accounting.
  • Identify issues, propose resolutions and work collaboratively in a high-paced environment.
  • Deliver detailed status reporting on work completed, issues, resolutions and overall progress.
  • Actively take part in risk management.
  • Maintain the quality of the product delivered to our Customers 
  • Complete other duties as necessary 

 

As our ideal candidate,

 

  • Technologist diploma or an equivalent educational/training background with eligibility for CET certification through ASTTBC.
  • Six (6) years’ experience in a marine technology role, ideally in a shipyard setting or other complex engineering fields.
  • Experience with configuration management of complex assets is considered an asset.
  • Experience in product lifecycle management and design toolsets such as ShipConstructor, AutoCAD, ARAS, SDD, IFS etc.
  • You have strong MS Office skills.
  • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
