Compensation: £22,039 - possibly some overtime + Benefits
Role Type: Full time / Permanent 

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join Babcock as a Warehouse Operator. As a Warehouse operator you will be joining a large Warehouse Operations team that manage parts associated to vehicles for the MOD. You will work closely with other members of the Warehouse team as well as the customer. 

Who we are looking for?
We are looking for someone from a Stores/Warehouse background with good IT and communication skills.
What will you be doing?

Your main duties include 
•    Ensure all operations are conducted safely and any H&S concerns or suggested improvements are highlighted
•    To action the receipt of consignments within the Goods Inward Department using MJDI, ensuring all consignments are checked in accordance with Defence Logistics Framework (DLF) policies and that any discrepancies following a non-technical inspection are actioned accordingly in conjunction with the DR Cell.
•    Ensure that there are clear processes in place to ensure the material is segregated for each internal end user 
•    Verify the accuracy of inventory and store locations records
•    Identify areas of weakness in the control of the material
•    Conduct stocktaking programmes in accordance with DLF, ensuring accurate results and procedures are recorded and actioned
•    Bring to account all material receipts from consignees once confirmed as received.  
•    Undertake all cross service issues and backloading instructions using MJDI and the F8883 process
•    Ensure the warehouse environment is maintained in a professional manner 
•    Ensure that all `dues’ are managed in accordance with the time frames stipulated in DLF. Monitor stock levels and apply for the disposal of surplus assets
•    Assist in the improvement of standards within the team in pursuance of best practice/efficiency improvements
•    Use of MHE to move palletised loads within the warehouse environment
•    The post holder will be required to work flexibly and should be prepared to perform other tasks that are outside the normal duties of the post but are within the capabilities


The experience you’ll bring 
•     Previous Stores/Warehouse background
•     FLT licence would be desirable
•     Knowledge of military vehicles would be desirable
•     Good IT skills 
•    You will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving ‘Security Check’ (SC) clearance.
