About the role
Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit a Project Manager.

The Project Manager (PM) is a Customer facing role reporting to the Prime Contract Office Manager to provide project management for a portfolio of projects (assigned projects) across multiple geographical locations. The PM role requires regular travel and deployment at locations both in the UK and overseas

What do I need to do the role?
You must hold a relevant degree level, or alternatively HNC/HND qualification,along with recognised project management qualifications or memberships i.e. Member of the Association of Project Managers (MAPM), APM Professional (IPMA Level D), APM Practitioner (IPMA Level C) or PRINCE2/Project Management Institute (PMI) equivalents;

We would also like you to have experience of the following:
• Have an engineering background e.g. be a Chartered Engineer (CEng), an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or an Engineering Technician (Eng Tech) registered with the Engineering Council in an appropriate engineering discipline;
• Must be diplomatic, assertive and a clear communicator in all forms;
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with resource managers, project team members, clients and superiors at all levels and in all areas of management;
• Experience in the advanced application of Project Management techniques in a relevant technical project environment;
• Must possess or be willing to gain a Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualification;
• Must possess (or be willing to gain) an adequate knowledge of Construction (Design and Management) 2015 regulations;
• Must possess teamwork skills to ensure the effective and cohesive functioning of a matrix structured, geographically distributed (nationally / internationally) project team;
• A good working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel and Outlook;
• A good working knowledge of project and opportunity Risk Analysis and Management techniques, which are consistent with the PRAM methodology, published by the APM;
• Good commercial awareness and an understanding of contract and commercial management;
• Possess a full, UK Driving Licence.

What else do I need to know?
• You must possess (or be able to obtain) DV level security clearance. Will accept SC initially, with a view to attaining DV clearance;
