Logistics and Asset Management Person

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics and Asset Management Person to join an existing team managing logistics and assets for our customer.  The role is based in the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) sector, in the Mission Systems business unit.

 

Working on a range of exciting support projects, Mission Systems works with a number of key clients domestically and internationally. We’re based at a number of sites in the UK and overseas.  The business continues to win new work and grow at a significant pace, as a result we are recruiting for talented, enthusiastic and driven people.
 
The difference the Logistics and Asset Management Person will make
You will undertake your role on one of our customer’s site in Gloucestershire, but some travel may occasionally be required to sites both within the UK and overseas. You will help to enhance an existing busy team, bringing continuous professionalism to the service provided to customers.
In this role, you’ll use your knowledge and understanding to support the logistics, stores and asset management function in an efficient and professional manner to control, monitor and audit assets, both in transit and storage. The audit function is performed at numerous sites, mainly within a 30-mile radius of the main location.

 

What do I need to do the role?
You will be working in a highly effective team where the highest of standards will be expected from both a technical and behavioural perspective.
 
Experience
•    A sound working knowledge of the application of logistics/stores and asset management software tools
•    A good working knowledge of MS Office Suite, and the ability to manage provided IT systems deployed for the service
•    Demonstration of an adequate knowledge of and compliance with the Health and Safety policy and regulations consistent with the responsibilities of a Logistics and Stores Person.
•    Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, and all associated stakeholders.
•    Must demonstrate knowledge and experience in logistics, stores and asset management skills
 
Skills and attributes
•    You will have a methodical approach to tasks and the ability to follow process.
•    Strong attention to detail.
•    You will demonstrate the ability to operate as part of a flexible, forward-thinking and responsive team
•    You'll need to be able to follow Health and Safety guidelines, risk assessments and the method statements associated with the role, ensuring Company health, safety and environmental procedures are complied with at all times.
