Babcock currently provides world class fleet management and equipment support to the MoD through its white fleet and engineering vehicle fleet provision and management contracts as well as its Army training contracts.  
Due to our continued partnership with the MoD we are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to provide an internal service to the business, managing preventative, reactive and project based facilities management to ensure the estate and equipment support the needs of the operation.


This is an exciting opportunity to oversee a unique site that is responsible for supporting an array of vehicles and systems including the Warrior and Challenger 2 tanks. 
Who we are looking for?


The successful candidate will have a proven track record in delivering a first-class facilities function incorporating the above operations, as well as experience in leading and managing people from varying backgrounds to achieve success, utilising your enthusiasm and passion for facilities management. 


Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills is a must for this role as there are several communication streams that will need to be managed, as well as building relationships with senior stakeholders.

What will you be doing?


As a Facilities Manager you will play a key role maintaining a safe and operationally functioning estate and equipment that enables production to deliver contracted outputs. 
Your duties will include:


•    Line management responsibilities for a team of 6 direct reports
•    Managing all external contractors to ensure work is delivered in line with contractual standards 
•    Managing tasking of local general hands with required routine work-to tasks through system
•    Managing work order request life cycle from receipt to closure (review, quotations, works conducted, sign off of works, work order closed)
•    Assisting in managing FM budget allocation and budget setting, as well as FM service reviews (local to sites and FM function wide as required)
•    Responsible person for statutory controls including legionella and asbestos
The experience you’ll bring 


•    You will previous Facilities Management experience
•    You will also be Asbestos & Legionella responsible person trained
•    Previous line management experience is desirable
•    Knowledge of CAFM is desirable
