Contract Manager

Donnington, Telford

 

About the role

 

Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit a Contract Manager to manage all contracting activity including compliant letting of contracts in accordance with EU Public Procurement Regulation.

 

Main responsibilities include providing value for money contracts using a standard process, system and toolset and with the effective management of those contracts within a managed portfolio whilst ensuring appropriate resources are applied and flexed across the requirements in order to effectively manage load and capacity. You will also provide strategic & tactical leadership for all applicable Procurement aspects of the Babcock DSG contracts.

 

The purpose of this role is to manage all Contract Let and Contract Management activity to ensure demands are purchase order enabled in a timely manner in accordance with the Contract Let and Status Plan prioritisation.

 

What do I need to do the role?

 

You will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a commercially focused equivalent role, within a similar operating model.

 

You will also have significant experience of leading teams and taking accountability for functional area delivery plus experience of working for a large commercial organisation within a supply chain function delivering compliant contracts.

 

Educated to MCIPS 5 or degree qualified would be advantageous but not essential.

 

What else do I need to know?

 

There will be occasional travel involved but fairly mimimal.

 

This role could be considered for flexible working.
