The purpose of this role is to deliver Rear Crew Training as part of the UKMTS programme. Responsible for the delivery of air and ground instruction to future Rear Crew in a Multi Engine (ME) environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure ME Rear Crew training is delivered to the agreed training schedule. This includes (but is not limited to) the delivery of phase briefs, technical lessons, practical demonstrations and sorties (both live and synthetic).
  • Achieve positive feedback in INVAL critiques of Rearcrew training.
  • Gain and maintain Instructor category iaw CFS guidance, endorsement of Competence on the aircraft type and complete Airborne CFS accredited training.
  • Ensure courseware delivered is current, making recommendations where appropriate.
  • Uphold partnering behaviours and participate in events as required.
  • Uphold adherence to the Health, Safety & Environmental Polices and Air Safety responsibilities.
  • Hold appropriate roles within the 3FTS Total Safety chain and following the appropriate training,  such as but not limited to Occurrence Manager or LEMSCO, and attend the appropriate Total Safety meetings (whether Air or Functional Safety related).

 
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Essential:

  • Previous military experience as a CFS B1 or higher QRI/QHCI/QOI (or equivalent)
  • Computer fluency to include Windows, Microsoft Office Suite and Explorer
  • Medically fit for airborne duties (Military or CAA equivalent category)

Desirable:

  • Recent ME RC experience at Cranwell or other similar training establishment
  • Recent relevant front line experience
  • Manual Handling experience
