Aircraft Technician

About the role

Here at Babcock we are currently recruiting an Aircraft Technician on a full time, permanent basis.

You will support all aircraft engineering, line and depth maintenance; scheduled servicing and corrective maintenance all other engineering related activities.

  • To assist in the ground movement of aircraft.
  • To carry out Flight-line operations i.e. Preparation of aircraft for daily flying, “see-in” and “see-off”, fuel and oil replenishment. Daily Check A maintenance.
  • To undertake scheduled and corrective maintenance of the LAFT Aircraft fleet.
  • Pre-use checks and Scheduled Maintenance of Company owned Ground Support Equipment.
  • To complete “all” documentation in accordance with current legislation and Company procedure.
  • General duties as required, including, driving, stores duties, housekeeping etc., and other responsibilities as allocated by Management.

What do I need to do the role?

You’ll need to hold a recognised Aircraft Apprenticeship, Military experience or NVQ level 3 or equivalent, ability to demonstrate practical and theoretical standards required, Driving Licence, Aircraft engineering experience.

What else do I need to know?

  • The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
