Contract Director LFB Training
About the role

Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit a Contract Director.


You will be fully accountable for the management and development of contractual performance to deliver agreed financial, operational and long term targets. Responsible for providing visible leadership to those working on the contract and proactively developing the relationship with the customer to ensure best in class contract performance and capture activity for potential growth.


• Lead the team to deliver against safety, financial and performance targets in line with the contract for site, people and equipment
• Ensure the contract and its cost base is fully optimised and performs in line with EAC requirements
• Lead the team through a significant change programme aligned to LFB’s changing ambitions and priorities linked to the enquiry
• Build robust professional relationships within a complex customer environment.
• Ensure the contracts  comply with all internal and external procedures and quality measures
• Accountable for the costs within the contract in line with the budget and agreed objectives in a long term accounting environment.
• Create a balance of cost control and autonomy to ensure operating environments are not stifled but deliver EAC expectations
• Provide direction to the team in a multi-site environment on a consistent basis.
• Provide strong and consistent visible leadership, especially on safety
• Build and maintain a relationship with the customer ensure to appropriate reporting of KPIs as in the contract
• Regular review of the contract to ensure it is fit for purpose and the service being deployed to the customer is in line with this.

What do I need to do the role?

• Experience of managing EAC contracts, budgets and associated commercials
• Experience of leading a multi-site environment
• Management of apprenticeships and funding
• Desirable experience within the desired sector / industry and able to articulate the key challenges & opportunities
• Degree or other professional industry related qualifications are desirable


What else do I need to know?
• The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
