Typhoon Avionics Supervisor

About the role

Here at Babcock we are looking to recruit a Typhoon Avionics Supervisor to provide supervision and technical support to the storage and aircraft maintenance programmes within AM&SU at RAF Shawbury.

 

What do I need to do the role?

You’ll need to have a formal aircraft avionics engineering training/apprenticeship, extensive experience in aviation and working on Typhoon Aircraft. Supervisory experience is also essential. If you have worked on other aircrafts, this would be beneficial particularly Hawk ac.

 

Would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:

  • Preparation for storage
  • In storage maintenance
  • Fault diagnosis and repair of faults
  • Cannibalisation of components
  • Engineering Instructions and the recovery of aircraft from storage, including carrying out any penalty maintenance. 
  • This also includes any associated tasking necessary for the operation of AM&SU.  The role is focused upon Typhoon aircraft but there may be times when work on other aircraft types is necessary to support the team, for which training will be given if required.

 

What else do I need to know?

  • The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
