Defence Equipment
The Vehicle Mechanic role is based within our Defence Equipment business area.

 

Defence equipment stores, maintains, repairs and overhauls military vehicles and equipment so the UK army is able to train and deploy in a moment. As well as supporting vehicles that are already in service, the team carries out vehicle assembly integration and tests new vehicles.

The difference our new Vehicle Mechanic will make


As a Vehicle Mechanic you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. At Babcock we repair and maintain military vehicles, we are looking for Qualified Vehicle Mechanics to inspect, service, maintain, repair and overhaul vehicles to the expected standard for our Armed Forces.

 

Day to day, you will be working on a wide range of military vehicles, inspecting, servicing and repairing.

Essential experience

•    NVQ Level 3 Service and Repair 
•    Ideal candidate from HGV/Garage backgrounds 
•    Previous experience within similar role 
•    Hydraulics experience 
•    Must hold or have the ability to obtain SC Security Clearance
