The role
As a Product Development Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll play a crucial role in the creation, enhancement, and launch of both new and existing products managing the end to end product development process.
 
Day to day, you’ll be responsible in shaping the pipeline of products ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the defined strategic objectives.
 

  • Work closely with stakeholders to define product requirements, specifications, and features, ensuring they are well-documented and actionable for the development team
  • Developing product strategies that align with business unit objectives and customer needs
  • Develop project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, while closely monitoring and managing project risks and dependencies
  • Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies to ensure the quality and functionality of products, coordinating user acceptance testing and gathering feedback for iterative improvements
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and suppliers, to gather feedback, understand their needs, and communicate product updates

 

This is a full-time role based at our Andover site with working from home options available. Travel to other sites is required.
 

Essential experience of the Product Development Manager:

  • Managed projects through to completion – knowledge work, product and cost breakdown analysis, management of risk, stakeholder management, communication planning etc 
  • Demonstrate an ability to solve problems and trouble-shoot with innovative thinking
  • Sufficient experience in product design 
  • Candidates must have experience in:
    • Minimum Viable Products (MVP)
    • User Personas
    • User Story Mapping
    • SWOT Analysis 
    • Research & Development (R&D)
    • Product roadmaps
    • Competitive Analysis
    • Product Analytics

 
Qualifications for the Product Development Manager:

  • Degree, professional qualification or HND / HNC (desirable) 

 

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
