Mechanical Transport Training & Licencing Team Leader
About the role

Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit a Mechanical Transport Training & Licencing Team Leader.


The purpose of your role is to carry out training and licencing duties within the scope of current Road Traffic Legislation, Road Transport Law and Service Publications.


• Driver familiarisation training on all vehicles types held.
• Deliver Land Rover familiarisation training iaw GS MOD 1 training package commensurate with the Statement of Requirement.
• Annual MTD capability driver checks on large Passenger Carrying Vehicles and Large Goods Vehicles.
• Effective delivery of Crash and Domestic ambulance training
• Station Health Environmental Function representative, attending meetings every 6 months.
• Control and correct issue of F/MT600 Defence Driving Permit.
• Annual checking of DVLA driving licences (B class drivers).
• Undertake Highway Code MATRIX testing Invigilator.
• Accident investigation and administration in accordance with Reference A.
• Vehicle damage assessment and the negotiation/liaison with the Command Assessor and local repairers.


What do I need to do the role?

You’ll hold background/qualifications will either be time-served in the industry, hold full clean driving license with categories  B+E, C, and D, Driver Qualification Card LGV PCV and ADR Class 1 & 3.


What else do I need to know?
• All applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK and be subject to satisfactory security clearance which includes 3 years reference checks. Verification of any qualifications/passport/licences must be shown at interview stage.
