About the role

 

Here at Babcock, we are currently recruiting a Leading Hand Ground Support Equipment Technician/Mechanic. 

 

  • Maintenance and rectification of all Ground Support Equipment, including Lifting Tackle at RAF Northolt.
  • Work closely with the Ground Electrical Supervisor ensuring the highest engineering principles and procedures are followed at all time. Team ethos essential.
  • LOLER examinations
  • Assisting in maintenance and fault rectification of Airfield specialist LGV/HGV’s
  • JAMES engineering database Operator


What do I need to do the role?
 
You’ll need Level 3 certificate in General Engineering/Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent experience), experience in LOLER examinations, hydraulics and pneumatics, full driving licence, previous LGV MOT prep inspection experience, previous GSE/ LGV fault rectification, fault finding experience and an Ex-Military with JAMES experience.
 
What else do I need to know?

 

All applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK and be subject to satisfactory security clearance which includes 3 years reference checks. Verification of any qualifications/passport/licences must be shown at interview stage.
