LGV/HGV Technician/Mechanic

About the role

Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit an LGV/HGV Technician/Mechanic


You will maintain and rectify all aircraft support vehicles and work closely with the Workshop Supervisor to ensure the highest engineering principles and procedure are followed at all times.

Your hours may include out of hours duty to our RAF vehicles and you will be paid overtime for this.

Supervision will be required to our Section Apprentice.


What do I need to do the role?

You’ll need to an experienced HGV Technician/Mechanic with the following:


  • Level 3 certificate in LGV Maintenance ( or equiv experience)
  • Full driving license
  • Previous LGV MOT prep inspection experience
  • Previous LGV fault rectification, fault finisng experience

What else do I need to know?

  • The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
  • Travel will be required between RAF Northolt (Ruislip, Middlesex) and RAF Benson (Wallingford, Oxfordshire).
