The Role
As an Engineering Instructor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will help deliver training to the Royal Navy by providing instruction on how to navigate engineering problems. 

Day to day, you’ll work with the Training Manager to deliver elements of the Type 31 Frigate Training Solution, incuding:

• Support with the development and maintenance of the T31 Training Programme
• Assist with the development and production of training materials
• Manage trainee records and the Competency Award process
• Ensure all supporting documentation is updated and maintained
• Interact and engage as a member of the Ship Systems instructional staff
• Focus on Health and Safety and work in line with all policies and standard operating procedures

This role is full time, 37-hours per week, and based at our Rosyth site with a hybrid working arrangement.

Essential experience of the Engineering Instructor

• Experience as an Instructor / Trainer
• Background in Engineering preferred but not essential 
• Knowledge of DSAT advantageous (training can be provided)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficient in IT/Microsof Office appl
• Knowledge of the UK Defence maritime training environment (desirable)

Qualifications for the Engineering Instructor 

• Qualification in Education and Training, or equivalent is desirable
• Engineering qualification is beneficial
• Full UK Driving Licence

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
