Learner Support Facilitator
Location: Remote working

About the role
Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit a Learner Support Facilitator.


You will provide remote teaching and face to face learning for our customer’s automotive contract. Teaching involve Maths and English skill and also life skills.


Purpose of role: Provide timely interventions and support for learners across Civil Training in order for them to achieve their programme, this will include learners with specific learning needs. This covers three aspects of support: Life Skills Programme, Learning Support (and evidencing support for funding) and interventions for Functional Skills as required by the Apprenticeship.


• Carry out delivery and continual development of functional skills / Life Skills Programme (or equivalent) sessions via Virtual Classroom software to groups of learners  / individuals and document progress using E-track
• Provide quick identification, support and action for learners that are identified as requiring additional support as per the learner support process, this should include but is not limited to: Assessment of learning needs / review of statements / requesting and evidencing reasonable adjustments / special considerations / care plans / sourcing support materials, devices and aids where appropriate to intervention required
• Provide timely interventions and support for Babcock representatives and learners that specifically require IAG or additional support for Functional Skills qualifications that are associated with the Apprenticeship
• Where interventions support LSF funding, ensure evidence of the assessment, ongoing support and close down of support is documented in full and meet KPIs around timeliness of visits (i.e. max 4 weeks)
• Support contract teams to ensure all learners receive support and are progressed through the SkillsForward system irrelevant of prior achievement

What do I need to do the role?

You’ll need to hold a recognised teaching/training qualification, minimum of AET (CET/DET preferable) and be qualified to at least Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English or equivalent.
