The role

 

As a Head of Apprenticeship Services, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Providing strategic guidance and direction to the business on apprenticeship matters.  

 

Day to day, you’ll ensure the business is fully compliant with all associated funding rules, has the required systems in place to manage apprenticeship provision, and timely data is provided to ensure apprenticeship performance is tracked, monitored and acted upon.

 

  • Overall responsibility for the leadership of the Apprenticeship Service functions 
  • Provide strategic oversight on behalf of the business unit on the apprenticeship market, including market dynamics, funding changes and developments in the quality framework 
  • Ensure funding claims are processed in line with agreed processes, are accurate and comply with the relevant funding rules 
  • Ensure legacy data across all UK funding bodies (from historic contracts) is maintained and ready for inspection if required

 

Essential experience of the Head of Apprenticeship Services,

 

  • A detailed understanding of the government funded training environment (specifically apprenticeships) and associated rules 
  • Leadership and management experience 
  • An understanding of the processes, systems and data required to manage an apprenticeship provision 

 

This is a fully remote role 

 

Qualifications for the Head of Apprenticeship Services,

 

•    Industry related qualifications such as Degree, HND, or NVQs or equivalent are desirable 


The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS security clearance level for this role.
