The Learning Trainer and Designer role is based within our Civil Training business area.

The role


The difference our new Learning Trainer Designer will make
As a new Learning Trainer Designer you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will work closely with one of our partners, BMW, to assist in both designing and teaching learning materials for apprentices. 


Day to day, you’ll be delivering, and supporting the design and development of training programmes. Collaborating with Assessors, Coaches and Trainers to deliver inspiring and innovative training across the Academy. You will focus on developing and delivering training intended to delight and motivate the learner. Work with relevant stakeholders to develop and update engaging learning activities and compelling course content that brings value and enhances the learner experience. Leverage the use of technology where possible to create immersive learning experiences. Help drive continuous quality improvement by reviewing content during development cycles and identify opportunities for improving products. Also, partner and collaborate with other Course Designers and L&D professionals to ensure consistent delivery across the Academy. In addition, proactively maintain CPD levels across training disciplines.

Essential experience
•    Experience in course design and instructional technology with a focus on face-to-face, blended learning and eLearning.
•    Excellent knowledge and experience of training design, as per ADDIE cycle.
•    Understanding of / or ability to learn about innovative learning methodologies including the use of technologies
•    Experience of project delivery from conception to implementation and delivery
•    Training instructor / training and development background
•    Knowledge of BMW product, brand, sales and aftersales is preferred but not essential
•    Automotive Industry awareness / previous experience is an advantage – but we can teach you! 
•    Should have or be able to obtain a DBS
