Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Services Analyst

Lakeside, Portsmouth


About the role


Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit a VDI Services Analyst to provide guidance, support and maintenance of systems to business stakeholders, other technology leads as well as users.


You will provide technical support and analysis within IS in some, if not all of the following technical disciplines:


Monitor and maintain Citrix XenApp 6.5 and 7.x, Provisioning Services (PVS) and NetScaler infrastructures to agreed operational standards


Monitor and maintain some VMWare View 7.x


Application deployment, testing and support across multiple Citrix/VMWare infrastructures and security zones


Microsoft App-v packaging and deploying of application


Group Policy creation and maintenance


Windows Server troubleshooting


This is an exciting position within a great working environment.


What do I need to do the role?


Citrix Certified Administrator CCA-V, CCP- or CCE-V


Must have a solid foundation in Citrix and Active Directory (GPO) covering testing, documentation and installation through all troubleshooting aspects


Understanding of future thin client technologies including virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI)


Experience of publishing applications in secure environments


Experience in design, implementation, and maintenance and disaster recovery for large Citrix environments


What else do I need to know?


The position will be based from Lakeside, Portsmouth


The role will require you to participate in an on-call rota


Working hours are 37.5 per week between 07:30 – 17:30 giving you flexibility for an earlier start and finish.
