About the role:

Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit a Training Support Officer.


Babcock operates a significant outsourced contract for the provision of education and training services to the Royal Navy. The training services comprise of Naval technical and tactical training and education, delivered by Babcock instructors as well as training support (e.g training planning, equipment support, routine maintenance and training design).  The contract is entering and exciting new phase with renewed focus on training innovation, optimisation and collaborative working and this role will provide the support and drive to achieve successful deliver of all aspects of the contract in this new phase.


Location: The main place of work will be HMS Collingwood.


Main Tasks:
• Support of the Statement of Training Task (SOTT) workflow for the Statement of Training Requirement (SOTR)/SOTT build process.
• Assist with the deliver and production of the Long Term Plan for FOAP(T) Courses.
• Assist in creating, scheduling of course templates in TAFMIS applications, in accordance with requirement of relevant SOTT.
• Timetable course templates in TAFMIS so as to meet the requirements of the SOTT.
• Assist where required in the updating of course templates as a result of change administered through the FOAP (T) process including, but not limited, to In Year Change (IYC), Major Change (MC), Course Change Form (CCF) and Code 20.
• Publish course dates on Joint Personnel Admin system (JPA).
• Maintain resource hierarchies availability in TAFMIS course admin application.
• Allocation and de-confliction of resource and venues required by the scheduled training course template.

What do I need to do the Job?
You’ll need ECDL or equivalent demonstrable proficiency in using IT (hardware/software) within the workplace.
