Due to an internal promotion there is a vacancy for a project accountant within our centralised information systems (IS) function.


Job Purpose


The project accountant will act as the primary finance contact for the IS project management office (PMO) and will be responsible for financially reviewing and approving all project briefs before being issued to customers.



Main Tasks & Reponsibilities


Main point of contact to PMO project managers for all finance related queries

Approve project budgets

Approve change requests for projects.

Understanding of BIS charging methodology

Project billing approvals

Project billing review

Develop and Implement further controls and governance to


In addition the the role is responsible for the following:

  • Providing bridge/gap analysis and supporting analysis on projects where needed;
  • Assisting PMO with user related charges;
  • Reviewing and approving draft project bills for accuracy;
  • Providing support to the billing analyst on project relate billing queries.




Required Skills


Experience in a similar role is essential and experience with working with SAP in a similar role is highly desirable.





This role also offers a great opportunity to introduce greater levels of financial control and governance around the PMO function.  There will also be the opportunity to standardise and systemise some of the current processes to improve accuracy and reliability.
