About the role
Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer.


The Central Quality Department’s main function is to deliver cross site management system audits, providing an independent opinion on internal control procedures by reviewing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.


This role is supporting the Central Quality Department in its delivery of audits against the Audit Programme, as well as provide support and expertise to the business on Quality Assurance related matters.


•    Design and implement independent assurance activities for the business
•    Undertake and lead internal audits
•    Review findings of audits and report to the organisation on levels of compliance recommending corrective action as appropriate
•    Support, agree and monitor the implementation of corrective actions
•    Participate in and facilitate improvement initiatives
•    Ensure actions address root causes of issues identified

What do I need to do the role?
You’ll need assurance/audit experience, this doesn’t have to be industry specific.


Would also like you to hold experience in the following areas:
•    Design and implement independent assurance activities for the business
•    Undertake and lead internal audits


What else do I need to know?
•    The successful candidate will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving ‘Security Check’ (SC) clearance.

Comprising of 14 dry docks, four miles of waterfront and 25 tidal berths, Devonport is the base for numerous surface vessels as well as the base and refit centre for the Trafalgar-class nuclear-powered submarines. Devonport has also recently been selected as the base port for the Navy’s new Type 26 frigates and will become the maintenance centre for the future submarine programme.
