Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit a Senior Project Engineer.

There are project delivery team opportunities.

 

The Major Infrastructure Projects Business Unit has been set up to establish and maintain a Strategic Infrastructure Plan for the Devonport site through to at least 2050 and to safely and effectively deliver the ‘major’ capital works projects that result from the Plan.

 

The roles sit within the 15 Dock Astute Fleet 22 Project.  Currently there are vacancies for Package Managers and Senior Project Engineers in the M&E Services and Civil Structures project teams.  These offer a significant project delivery challenges and present excellent development opportunities.
 
Main Purpose of Role:
This is a key role providing support to the project team in delivery of schedule, technical scope, contractual, financial and risk management functions.
• Assisting the technical and project team in development of requirements, project scope and solutions for specific work packages.
• Translate supply chain reporting into useable data to inform planning, monitoring and control of work packages.
• Provide input to cost and budget monitoring.
• Develop Stakeholder management and communications plans.
• Coordinates works with the wider SRC projects / teams to ensure works areas are available to meet the schedule
 
What do I need to do the role?
You must have experience of working within a project environment, ideally on the Nuclear Licensed site or in the delivery of Nuclear safety implicated equipment or services.

 

Would also like you to have experience in all or some of the following:
• Good communication (verbal and Written)
• Competent in the use of Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
