Who we are looking for?
We are looking for a Senior Knowledge Manager with particular experience in Knowledge Acquisition Retention Transfer (KART) to reduce the risk of critical knowledge loss within our business. You will be able to identify important and valuable knowledge and specify appropriate methods for capturing and transferring that knowledge. You will then deliver explicit knowledge assets and enable tacit knowledge transfer as appropriate to maintain requisite Design Authority knowledge.

•    Provision of specialist assistance for the development and implementation of knowledge as a member of the Knowledge Management Core Team.
•    Chairing or facilitating scheduled KART interviews when required.
•    Managing the Facilities Engineering KART Register and management arrangements to facilitate assimilation and enhancement of skills and knowledge.
•    Managing the KART programme within Facilities Engineering, including the assessment of any risk that is posed by the loss of critical knowledge.
•    Coordinating and overseeing the team of appointed Facilities Engineering Knowledge Facilitators.

The experience you’ll bring
You will possess the following minimum academic and professional qualifications and be able to demonstrate relevant experience:-
•    Educated to HNC or degree level in an appropriate STEM discipline.
•    Preferable - Chartered or Incorporated Engineer or other equivalent STEM accreditation and a Member of a relevant STEM Professional Institute, or working towards a professional qualification (CEng, IEng etc.).
•    Alternatively - Suitable experience may be considered in lieu of professional qualifications.
•    Experience working in the nuclear industry or other highly regulated safety industry, preferably including broad experience of a Dockyard environment and relevant major projects.
•    Experience in project and risk management combined with demonstrable experience in dealing with a broad range of stakeholders.
•    Experience in developing and maintaining processes and procedures.

PLEASE NOTE: The successful candidate will need to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements. This role will require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving ‘Security Check’ (SC) clearance.
