Head of Design

Devonport, Plymouth

 

About the role

 

Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit a Head of Design to join as part of the Head of Engineering’s core team as a key player in the Strategic Infrastructure Business Unit.

 

Key duties will be to provide the design capability for all major projects and establish and manage the Strategic Infrastructure Design Teams, including development of capabilities, policies and working arrangements. You will also manage the Design Teams’ interface with the Office for Nuclear Regulation and other key stakeholders.

 

What do I need to do the role?

 

You will have previous experience of Senior Leadership in Design and in the design and substantiation of complex infrastructure projects as well as working within highly regulated environments (safety, quality, security and environment).

 

You will also be qualified as a Chartered Engineer / CEng Fellow and in Design and substantiation of nuclear safety case Class 1 engineering.
