Principal Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

 

Here at Babcock International looking to appoint a Principal Quality Assurance Engineer to join the team working on vast, complex projects within the Marine Defence industry. Babcock are a trusted name within this domain and are continuously growing, as a result we are looking for a driven, experienced professionals to join our division.

 

Using your experience you will be provide expert supplier quality assurance, driving continuous improvement activities with internal and external stakeholders. You’ll Serves as a primary point of contact for customer QA representatives and ensure all Elements of work comply with the requirements of the Work Breakdown Structure.

Although this role is working with the defence industry we welcome applications from candidates within highly regulated environments.

 

What do I need to do the role?

 

You’ll need to have extensive experience in a quality assurance role and have the gravitas to lead a multidisciplinary team.  

 

Would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:

 

  • To have extensive experience of managing Quality Assurance and Quality Control within the Engineering sector, including supply chain functions.
  • Experience auditing suppliers within a manufacturing environment.
  • Able to provide the business improvement activities which facilitate a culture of evolution, learning and improvement
  • To have experience of change management and improvement programmes with suppliers.
     

Lastly, you’ll need to be able to deploy good communication and influencing skills as you’ll work closely with the client and our internal and external stakeholders including regulatory bodies.

 

What else do I need to know?

 

  • UK travel will be expected.
  • The role can be based at either Bristol, Leicester or Plymouth.
  • The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role and will also need to complete a medical assessment
