We have an interesting opportunity working within N215 as part of the DRDL Security Team, to act as the ATOMIC Liaison Officer (ALO), DRDL Naval Nuclear Propulsion Programme Information (NNPPI) Liaison Officer (NLO) and PSA Security Officer.  

 

Who we are looking for?

We are looking for Nuclear Security Professional to complete record keeping, implement security requirements and act as a point of contact for personnel requesting security access. 

 

What will you be doing?
• Responsible for implementation of all the requirements contained within the NNPPI Security Classification Guide (ACO 117).  Decision maker and referral point for applications for personnel requesting access to NNPPI.  Delivering a process and briefing on handling of NNPPI for the correct handling, management and control of NNPPI. Provide evidence to NNPPI Control Office (London) that effective controls for the handling and control of NNPPI assets are in place in accordance with the requirements
• Act as the ATOMIC Liaison Officer (ALO), to implement all the requirements contained within the ATOMIC Control Office Publication (ACO 130) and to act as adviser on all ATOMIC matters within DRDL.  Ensure arrangements to administer access to and manage distribution of material marked ATOMIC are in place and assured.  Maintain the register of indoctrinated personnel, bi-annual returns to ACO (L), delivery of briefings, ensuring the criteria for access is applied, including when the requirement for access is relinquished.  
• Undertake the role of the PSA Security Officer (Formal appointment) in accordance with the Chief Strategic Systems Executive direction contained within T2034, responsible for PSA audits, inductions and refresher briefs and records of checks made on all staff requiring access

 

The experience you’ll bring 
•    British National due to the security nature of the role, plus ability to hold SC
•    Working towards or already gained NNPPI, PSA and Atomic registration
•    Nuclear Security Professional with excellent communication skills  
•    Holder must be a British Citizen as defined in the British Nationality Act 1981. 
•    You must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
