About the Role
Here at Babcock International we’re looking for two Finance Managers to join us at HMNB Devonport, one of the largest naval bases in Western Europe. We’re a key strategic partner to our customers; the MOD and the Royal Navy. We ensure that the UK Royal Navy goes to sea safely by supporting them in Devonport and around the world, delivering complex ship and submarine sustainment programmes and applying our core strengths of technology and expertise to sustain critical and complex assets to help maintain national security.

Our Finance Departments support the Business Unit Management teams in the achievement of strategy and financial objectives, through best practise financial reporting and control. As a Finance Manager you’ll support MSDF, Facilities Business Unit and the Corporate Service areas, strengthening the financial team as the business enters into new contracts.

Using your extensive financial management experience gained in a similar role you’ll ensure that budgets and targets align with corporate and contract financial targets, providing financial support/advice and performing duties to ensure the Departments are run effectively to achieve financial targets. More Specifically, this includes Management / Production of monthly reporting and quarterly reforecasting of the Business Unit Profit and Loss Account, Balance Sheet and Cash flow Statements as well as Contract specific financial reporting both internally and to the MoD.

What do I need to do the role?
You'll be educated to Degree level in a relevant discipline and hold a Professional Accountancy Qualification i.e. CIMA / ACCA / ACA (or equivalent). You’ll also need demonstrable experience in Management Accounting techniques and their application to financial data.

What else do I need to know?
• These posts are offered on an 18 Month Fixed-Term Contract basis.
• Successful candidates will hold, or be eligible to acquire, Security Clearance at the appropriate level for these posts.
