Air Traffic Control Officer

RAF Wittering, Peterborough

About the role

Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit an Air Traffic Control Officer on a full time, permanent basis.

Reporting to the Deputy Senior Air Traffic Control Officer you will assist in the provision and contract delivery of Air Traffic Services and Airfield Management Services to meet flying operations.

  • Ensure the integrity of the airfield is maintained at all times: Runways, surfaces, equipment and surrounding areas are fully serviceable and support safe operations.
  • Ensure all legal, contract and business documentation are compiled correctly.
  • Maintain SQEP to deliver training e.g. OJTI across all disciplines.
  • Support USMO duties including Safety Management Systems, processes and improvements. Risk Assessments and adjustments. Hazards logs, safety surveys and the ongoing training of all staff in these disciplines


What do I need to do the role?

You’ll need to have ATC CAA license Aerodrome, ATC CAA license Ground, European Class 3 Medical (ATC) current, a full valid UK driving license and experience of working in a military environment, preferably flying training.


What else do I need to know?

  • The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
