The role
As a Ground Handler C1 you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. The Ground Support Assistant is responsible for the timely provision of aircraft ground handling support for Voyager A330-200 MRTT aircraft during his shift period.  


Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities: 

  • Aircraft marshalling.
  • Moving and positioning vehicles and equipment in support of aircraft movements. Routine refuelling of the vehicle and equipment fleet.
  • Aircraft maintenance including as an example toilet service, including sluicing and water re-fill of the vehicle. And Aircraft water service, including sterilisation and re-fill of the vehicle. 
  • Vehicle and equipment cleaning and husbandry tasks. Including Aircraft de-icing, driving, spraying, bulking, mixing and testing of de-icing fluid. 
  • Operating Mobile Elevated Work Platforms, including boom and scissor lifts and Operating Forklifts.

 

This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Brize Norton.

 

Essential experience of the Ground Handler C1:

  • Experienced in Operating and driving a diverse list of Vehicles and Aircraft Ground Support Equipment.
  • Previously carried out First line daily inspections of the fleet.
  • Experience with Large Aircraft, Ground Support equipment and Specialist airfield vehicles.


Qualifications for the Ground Handler C1:

  • Basic driving licence with C1  
  • Ability to obtain Colour Perception CP2 (safe).

  • The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain SC security clearance for this role.
