In this role, you will:

  • Support tending activities - price modeling, internal approval presentations etc.
  • Support project initiation, execution, and closeout processes
  • Provide project cost reporting and monitoring
  • Provide inputs to customer reporting deliverables
  • Facilitate queries with regards to ERP entries and invoice backups
  • Support forecasting activities
  • Provide financial inputs to Quarterly Contract Reviews (QCRs)
  • Upkeep technical accounting papers (IFRS15)
  • Liaise with internal customers and key external stakeholders regarding financial achievement
  • Liaise with Finance Manager on revenue recognition
  • Provide accruals to Finance
  • Provide Audit support (of Babcock and subcons)
  • Receive invoices/return credit notes in the ERP against PO
  • Support customer invoicing
  • Perform invoice reconciliations
  • Lead/support improvement projects as required

 

 

The ideal candidate brings:

 

  • You hold a post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA designation an asset.
  • You have a minimum of 10 years experience in a project accounting or a financial role.
  • Experience in price modelling.
  • You have an understanding of cost control and project management processes.
  • You have intermediate to advanced Excel skills, good knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems (experience utilizing IFS is an asset).
  • You are able to plan, prioritise and deliver to firm deadlines.
  • You are able to create and maintain strong relationships with key internal customers and stakeholders.
  • You demonstrate excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and an ability to produce quality results in a timely manner.
  • Proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, meaning that you must have received the full series of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by the Government of Canada with the final dose at least 14 days prior to your start date
  • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
